Baseball Winter Training + Summer update

With baseball season just around the corner, the GRAA Baseball Board is excited to share two updates:

• We’re offering indoor, winter training sessions in Glen Ridge for select age groups starting on Jan. 20.
• We’re launching a summer travel team for the combined 9u/10u age groups.

 

Winter training

Get ready for the upcoming season with one-hour indoor hitting, fielding and pitching practice sessions on the Saturdays noted below.

Who: Any child currently living in Glen Ridge who falls into the 7u, 8u, 9u or 10u travel baseball age groups (born between May 2013 and April 2017).

When: 1/20, 1/27, 2/8*, 2/10, 2/24, 3/9, 3/23

• 7u/8u will be from 3pm-4pm
• 9u/10u will be from 4pm-5pm
• The 2/8 session will be for the 9u/10u group only, featuring a special guest instructor, from 6-7:30pm.

Where: RAS Upper Gym

How: REGISTER HERE. The total fee will be $75. Registration is first-come, first-served and will be capped at 20 kids per session due to space constraints.

 

Travel baseball

The GRAA is proud to launch one summer travel team for the combined 9U/10U age group. Based on the travel baseball age chart, this means any child living in Glen Ridge born in May 2013 – April 2015 will be eligible to try out. We’ll share more details closer to the summer season, but a tryout will be held sometime in early spring.

 

Reminder: Little League registration is open

In case you missed it, Glen Ridge is also continuing its partnership with Bloomfield Little League to give kids of all ability levels a chance to play the game and develop their skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Sign up here before Jan. 15 for the early registration discount of $110 for one player or $160 for 2+ players in the same family. Registration will close on Feb. 23 at 6pm SHARP. No late registrations will be accepted.
