Introducing the Bloomfield-Glen Ridge Little League

As we embark on another Little League baseball season, we would like to share some exciting news. Bloomfield Little League will now be known as Bloomfield-Glen Ridge Little League,  reflecting the continued success of a partnership that has elevated the game of baseball in both communities. 

We launched this partnership in 2021 to give kids of all ability levels a chance to play the game and develop their skills in a fun, supportive environment. Since then, the league has flourished, with participation increasing this year to 500 kids between the ages of 5 and 13. Glen Ridge accounts for almost 40% of the players, a strong turnout given our much smaller population. Baseball, as a sport, is also on the rise. According to a recent industry report by the Sports and Fitness Industry Association, baseball participation is at nearly 16.7 million in the United States, the highest officially recorded level since the survey report began in 2008.

This announcement solidifies the commitment between these two communities to provide an outstanding baseball experience for all involved. We would like to thank all the volunteers from both communities that have made this partnership possible. It is our hope that even more parents step up to volunteer, whether to coach or to assist in the operations of the league.
